Abstract: The trend in automotive HUD is towards larger field of view (FOV) and longer image distances (VID). However, this trend is limited by the practical integration challenges of current HUD technology. This talk will focus on these challenges, potential solutions and especially how these challenges feedback into tangible demand for HUD technologies.
Bio: Daniel Cashen comes from an Electrical Engineering background at Michigan State University with a specialization in electromagnetics. His interest transitioned from wave propagation to optics when he started work at the largest HUD supplier, Nippon Seiki. Dan lead a number of activities while at Nippon Seiki finishing his time there as the HUD R&D lead for North America. In 2017 Dan moved to Daqri Automotive to work on cutting edge display technologies and their integration into automotive HUD.
