Bio: Steve Schklair, 3ality's CEO, has been working at the forefront of new technologies for most of his career. Schklair is dedicated to advancing and developing S3D in the motion picture and the real-time broadcast of S3D programming especially live concerts and sports events.
Schklair's vision to attain the most perfect and easy to capture S3D images remains true to the technology's potential—changing how audiences experience movies, episodic television, and sports programming. As a result, the company has been noted for leading the S3D movement, shooting the first live S3D broadcasts from the NFL, the BCS Championship, a variety of programming for BSkyB, the Super Bowl, and the World Cup. With Schklair at the helm, 3ality systems and technology have gone global and are being utilized in countries such as Japan, Korea, Australia, the UK, Russia, India, and in Latin America. Productions utilizing 3ality's systems and technology include The Hobbit (all three installments), The Amazing Spider-Man, Prometheus, The Great Gatsby, and Transformers: Age of Extinction. Recognized as an international S3D expert, Schklair contributed to the 2011 book, '3D TV and 3D Cinema', written by Bernard Mendiburu with Yves Pupulin. Schklair has presented the key-note at 3D Masters in London, at Dimension-3 in Paris, IBC in Amsterdam, and he provided the key-note at the University of China's opening of their new 3D school. Schklair is intensely in tune with what is happening in the S3D world as it relates directly to advancements in S3D technology and its applications in a variety of platforms. In 2014, the International 3D and Advanced Imaging Society recognized Schklair and 3ality with the prestigious Century Award, which is presented to those individuals and companies who have indelibly left their mark on 3D's first century.
