Mitsuhiro (Mickey) Kato

1992-2002 Tokyo Electron
Mickey Kato Joined Tokyo Electron, a leading supplier of semiconductor and FPD manufacturing equipment in a sales role. He helped sell a lot of manufacturing equipment (Plasma Dry etching systems, No.1 share in the world) to most of Japanese FPD manufacturers (Toshiba, DTI, Hitachi, NEC, Fujitsu, Sanyo, Sharp, etc.). He later became in charge of marketing and got to know eventual DSCC co-founders Yoshio Tamura at TSR in 1996 and Satoshi Matsuno at DisplaySearch in 1998.

2002-2014 DisplaySearch (NPD Group)
He then joined DisplaySearch as the world’s first sales representative. He played a critical role in growing DisplaySearch's Japan business. In 2007, he received the NPD Group Excellence Award for driving business growth in Japan. He is the second winner following the founder of DisplaySearch (Ross) and the sole winner among sales and marketing staff. He had responsibility for sales, website developments, e-mail magazines, public relations, trade shows and conferences while at DisplaySearch and NPD. He was promoted from sales and marketing director to Vice President during his time at DisplaySearch.

2014-2020 IHS Markit, Omdia
He focused on growing their Japan event business and marketing. The display conference business was #1 in Japan from 2002 - 2020.

2021 DSCC
From 1st January, he joined as Senior Director, Japan Sales, Marketing and Events.
