The Rise of Premium TVs, Permanent or Temporary?
Please join NPD as we look at the past years of sale and examine whether the shift in the market back towards premium ($1000+) TVs is a function of the pandemic or can we expect a permanent return to significant volumes at those higher prices? How have retailers and brands adjusted promotional strategies, and what is the consumer reaction? Have consumers fundamentally altered their view of the value of the TV, especially the primary TV, in their homes? What is the role that retail has played in that shift? What is the role of the increased importance of Smart TVs in the growth in value? Are consumers more focused on the better technology platforms that the industry continues to develop as providing a higher value to them? How does this impact the outlook for the TV market over the next 3 years?
